We're gonna have a free for all, no fight" Snoop Lion
LOGLINE: "Gangland meets The Apprentice"
THE SHOW: We are going to offer an alternative to the kids in the hood to gangbanging. The reality show will offer a guide to troubled kids everywhere to find the road to a safe, prosperous and meaningful life; right in their own neighborhood!
We will take troubled youth from the most dangerous of Chicago's gang areas (boys and girls) and then mix up the rivals onto four different teams. These once, potential mortal enemies will now have to learn how to work together in challenges of self and neighborhood improvement.
STRUCTURE: Each episode begins with our emcee (Big Star) giving us the state of affairs on how we got to where we're at. He will also narrate the documentary aspect of the show when we feature one of our kids or a societal problem. Next, our onset host will be setting up our kids for their next challenge.
Each week we will bring in four different celebrity or mentor type guest to be a team captain for the kids: sports star or rapper or film / TV celebrity or iconic scientist or hero police or fireman or ex-gangbanger (now a successful businessman) and many more.
We will be shooting on location at various organizations, usually doing one of their activities that they use to help bring kids around and back on track. Organizations such as: Chicago Park District, The Slick Boys, Cease Fire, Boys and Girls Club, BAM (Becoming A Man), St. Sabina Church, Various Trade Schools, New Beginnings Church of Chicago, Military Recruiters, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and many more.
We have enough ideas for many years.
The team with the highest amount of points at the end of season will win a prize. The winner of the last contest will be the Grand Prize winner!
ALL of the teams will win various prizes. Throughout the season there will be individual winners for various accomplishments that are voted on by the home viewer. There will be plenty of opportunities for the home viewer to get involved and interact via phone / website / twitter, etc.
The winning Grand Prize team will all get a scholarship to the school or trade school of their choice. All of the children who participate will also walk away with the hope and promise of a new direction and a momentum to help spread the word of a better way.
